To cap Craig’s time as Bond, Eon Productions has tapped the very talented Billie Eilish to perform the theme for No Time to Die. The song, which is titled after the movie, is a moody ballad about love lost, accompanied by familiar musical cues from James Bond’s main theme. Ahead of the movie’s release in November, Eilish has released a music video for the theme song, which you can watch below: The movie, which was directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (True Detective), sees Bond thrust into saving the world once again after seemingly calling it quits and riding off into the sunset with Dr. Swann (Lea Seydoux) at the end of Spectre. “Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology,” reads the movie’s official synopsis. Joining Craig on this adventure is Lashana Lynch, who plays a character named Nomi, a new 00 agent who’s taken over for Bond. Joining them is Ana de Armas as Paloma, a CIA agent who will assist Bond and Nomi on their mission as well as a few returning cast members, including Ben Whishaw as Q, Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter, and Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner. Then there’s the return of Christoph Waltz, who will reprise his role as Blofeld, the classic Bond villain who first revealed himself to Craig’s Bond in Spectre. This time, it seems the two rivals have to work together to stop Safin. But can they play nice? No Time to Die is out in the UK on Nov. 12 and in the US on Nov. 20.
